1. Introduction & Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Kawibot collects, uses, and protects data across our suite of energy auditing tools: KawiLens, Baseline, Workbench, and Reporter.

2. Information We Collect

Beyond standard account information, we process specific Industrial & Facility Data:

  • Utility Data: Historical bills, interval meter data, and tariff structures.
  • Operational Data: Production logs, shift schedules, and unit output metrics (used for regression variables).
  • Asset Data: Facility photos and site photographs captured via KawiLens.
  • Audio/Visual: Voice notes and thermal imagery uploaded during site audits.

3. AI Processing & Data Usage

  • Service Delivery: We use your data to calculate energy baselines, identify savings opportunities (ECMs), and generate audit reports.
  • AI Model Privacy: Your specific production data and trade secrets are NOT used to train public or foundational AI models.
  • Aggregated Benchmarking: We may use anonymized and aggregated data to generate industry benchmarks (e.g., "Average Energy Intensity for Steel Manufacturing"). This data is stripped of all company identifiers before aggregation.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your Industrial Data with third parties for marketing purposes. We only share aggregated, anonymized benchmark data that cannot be traced back to your facility.

5. Data Retention

We retain Industrial Data for as long as your account is active to support ongoing measurement and verification (M&V) of energy savings. Upon contract termination, you have the right to export all raw data (CSV/PDF) before we permanently delete your instance.

6. Security

We implement enterprise-grade security measures including:

  • AES-256 encryption for data at rest (Bills, Logs, Photos).
  • TLS 1.3 for data in transit.
  • Strict access controls ensuring data isolation between tenant organizations.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your Industrial Data on demand.
  • Export all uploaded data in standard formats.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data (subject to contract terms).
  • Review and update organizational information.
